Résumé

Poorly lithified Upper Devonian conglomerates do not exhibit a gradational granitized contact with the high level Belleoram quartz monzonite pluton in southern Newfoundland as previously maintained, and there is no prima facie case for previously suggested granitization by massive magmatic vapour transport.
