Information For Readers

As of January 1, 2025, Atlantic Geoscience has adopted Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0)  .  This license requires that re-users give credit to the creator, but allows re-users to distribute, remix, adapt, and build upon the material in any medium or format, even for commercial purposes.  Going forward, papers published in the journal will be immediate open access - no subscription required.  However, please note that unless authors paid for immediate open access, papers published in v. 60 (2024) will remain in embargo until 12 months after their publication.

Atlantic Geoscience has no subscription fees.  However we welcome donations from readers who wish to support the diamond open access model. Please contact the editors for more information.

We encourage readers to sign up for the publishing notification service for this journal. Use the Register link at the top of the homepage for the journal. This registration will result in the reader receiving announcements from the journal by e-mail, as well as the Table of Contents of each volume annually.  See the journal's Privacy Statement which assures readers that their name and email address will not be used for any other purposes.
