New Co-Editor Appointed

We are pleased to welcome Dr. James (Jim) Walker as a co-editor of “Atlantic Geoscience”.  His appointment was approved by AGS Council at their meeting on April 1, 2026.  Jim currently resides in Granville Ferry, Nova Scotia, but prior to his retirement in 2025, he was manager of Geological Surveys North, the Bathurst office of the Geological Surveys Branch of the New Brunswick Department of Natural Resources and Energy Development. He has been a member of the Atlantic Geoscience Society since 1990 and has an exemplary record of service to the Society, for which he received the Laing Ferguson Distinguished Service Award in 2015. Jim’s areas of expertise are mainly in mineral resources and regional geology.
