Special Series: Mineral resources research in the northern Appalachians

We are pleased to announce publication on June 28th of the first paper in the Special Series on "Developments in mineral resources research in the northern Appalachians".  The series arose from a special session of the same title at the AGS Colloquium in February 2021, organized by Aaron Bustard (NB Department of Natural Resources and Energy Devlopment), Mitchell Kerr (Saint Mary's University), and Kevin Neyedley (NS Department of Natural Resources and Renewables), who also served as guest editors for the special series.  It is fitting that the first paper in the series was derived from a keynote talk at the conference, delivered by Dr. John F. Slack, who is also lead author on the paper entitled "Potential for critical mineral deposits in Maine, USA", co-authored by Frederick M. Beck, Dwight C. Bradley, Myles M. Felch, Robert G. Marvinney, and Amber T.H. Whittaker.
