Jay L. Lalonde, University of New Brunswick

Jay L. Lalonde is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Historical Studies at the University of New Brunswick. They are interested in connections between settler colonialism, capitalism, and immigration policy. Their ongoing dissertation research focuses mainly on Icelandic settlers in the Maritimes and examines the roles they and other non-Anglo settlers played in post-Confederation settler colonial policy.
