The Authorship of the Poems of Laurence Minot: A Reconsideration

Résumé

This article examines the authorship of various fourteenth-century historical poems generally attributed to Laurence Minot. It suggests, on a variety of grounds, particularly metrical and codicological, that these poems may have been composed by a number of different authors and brought together by a subsequent compiler.
