Martha Herrera-Lasso González, UC Berkeley

Martha Herrera-Lasso González recently completed her PhD in Performance Studies at UC Berkeley, has an MA in Theatre from the University of British Columbia and a BA in Playwriting from the National University in Mexico City. She has worked as a playwright, translator and dramaturge across North America. Her current research is concerned with the practical and theoretical implications of theater collaborations between Mexico and Quebec, read through the politics of linguistic, cultural and aesthetic translation.
