Abstract

Wendy B. Stuart décrit le slahal, connu aussi sous le nom de lehal ou jeu d’osselets, un jeu de hasard Indien en honneur sur la Côte Nord du Pacifique, lequel jeu est accompagné de musique propre à intéresser les ethnomusicologues Elle met l’accent sur la musique particulière et le jeu dont la découverte a été faite parmi les peuplades de la Côte Salish en Colombie Canadienne et dans VEtat de Washington.
