1 Les textes qui suivent sont une synthèse de communications présentées lors d’une table ronde bilingue tenue le 22 mai 2015 à l’Université d’Ottawa dans le cadre du colloque annuel de l’Association canadienne de recherche théâtrale et de la Société québécoise d’études théâtrales. Organisée par Stephen Johnson et Louise Ladouceur, cette table ronde intitulée «!Jonctions linguistiques et culturelles dans le théâtre canadien » a porté sur les collaborations entre artistes et chercheurs travaillant dans les deux langues officielles du Canada. Œuvrant dans différentes régions du pays, les participants à cette table ronde ont offert diverses perspectives sur ce thème et mis en lumière les multiples enjeux dont sont investies ces pratiques multilingues et multiculturelles. Y ont participé Joël Beddows de l’Université d’Ottawa, Hervé Guay de l’Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières, Louise Ladouceur de l’Université de l’Alberta, Louis Patrick Leroux de l’Université Concordia et Glen Nichols de Mount Allison University. Stephen Johnson a agi comme président de séance.

2 The following texts are a synthesis of papers presented in a bilingual panel held on May 22, 2015, at the University of Ottawa during the annual conference of the Canadian Association for Theatre Research and the Société Québécoise d’études théâtrales. Organized by Stephen Johnson and Louise Ladouceur, the panel, entitled “Linguistic and Cultural Junctures in Canadian Theatre,” focused on collaborations between artists and scholars working in both of Canada’s official languages. Located in different regions of the country, the panel’s participants offered up diverse points of view on the subject and shed light on the various issues raised by these multilingual and multicultural practices. The panel consisted of Joël Beddows of the University of Ottawa, Hervé Guay from Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières, Louise Ladouceur of the University of Alberta, Louis Patrick Leroux of Concordia University, and Glen Nichols of Mount Allison University. Stephen Johnson was the panel moderator.
