1 IN AUGUST 2010, Dr. Jeff Webb completed his term as editor of Newfoundland and Labrador Studies. During his tenure, the journal was able to catch up with its publication schedule and it enjoyed continued success in publishing scholarly contributions about Newfoundland and Labrador’s society and culture, past and present. I am particularly grateful to Jeff for his assistance with ensuring a seamless transition as the editorial duties passed from him to me.
2 I look forward to NLS’s future. We have a great team. Dr. Rainer Baehre has been the social science review editor for many years now and we are fortunate that he continues with us. Dr. Helene Staveley, a newer member of the team, is our diligent humanities review editor. On the production side, I am very ably assisted by Josephine Thompson (Publications Assistant) and Kristin Harris Walsh (Assistant Editor). And Irene Whitfield continues her long-time support as NLS’s managing editor.
3 NLS has just passed its twenty-fifth anniversary. It is now a mature scholarly journal. I am grateful to the editorial committee for its support for me and allowing me this opportunity to share in the journal’s future success.
