SUZANNE BEAUVAIS est adjointe au conservateur au Musée des sciences et de la technologie du Canada. Elle a obtenu une maîtrise en histoire de l'Université d'Ottawa suite à des recherches sur l'industrie canadienne des véhicules d'incendie, dont les résultats viennent d'être publiés sous le titre Les véhicules d'incendie sur commande : nécessité technologique ou construction sociale ? dans la collection Transformation.

EDWARD S. COOKE, JR is the Charles F. Montgomery Professor of American Decorative Arts and Chair of the Department of the History of Art at Yale University, New Haven, Connecticut.

BARRY GAULTON, a Ph.D. candidate in Archaeology at Memorial University of Newfoundland, is Assistant to the Director of Archaeology for the Ferryland Archaeological project.

KRISTIN M. HARRIS, a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Folklore at Memorial University of Newfoundland, is also a dance scholar, step dancer and dance teacher.

PEGGY HOGAN has been a student of costume for twenty-five years in design for film, theatre and museums, most recently at Memorial University of Newfoundland studying everything from seventeenth-century fishermen's dress to the tailors of St John's.

RHONA RICHMAN KENNEALLY, Assistant Professor in the Department of Design Art at Concordia University, Montreal, teaches the history and theory of design arid material culture.

CATHY MATHIAS, a Ph.D. candidate with Queen's University, Kingston, Ontario, is an Archaeological Conservator with Memorial University's Archaeology unit in St John's.

DAVID W. MONAGHAN is Curator of the House of Commons, in Ottawa, where he has the honour of working with a small but select group of murals.

SANDRA A. NIESSEN is Associate Professor in the Department of Human Ecology at the University of Alberta in Edmonton.

GENEVIÈVE ROY est consultante en patrimoine après avoir travaillé durant une vingtaine d'années comme psychothérapeute clinicienne, une expérience incomparable qu'elle applique à sa méthodologie pour décoder l'histoire de la culture matérielle. Elle détient une maîtrise en nursing psychiatrique de l'Université Columbia, un diplôme en design d'intérieur du Art Institute of Pittsburg et une maîtrise en études québécoises de l'Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières.

SABINA ELENA STAN fait un postdoctorat à l'Université de Montréal après y avoir obtenu un doctorat en anthropologie. Ses recherches actuelles portent sur les systèmes de santé, en particulier sur le marché comme modèle de gouvernance du système de santé québécois.

MlKE TUBRET, a B.Sc. (Hons) graduate in Earth Science from Memorial University of Newfoundland (MUN), is the ICP Facility Supervisor in the Earth Science Department at MUN.

MELISSA ZEELKE, a recent graduate of the Museum Studies program at the University of Toronto, is currently Curatorial Assistant at the Workers Arts and Heritage Centre in Hamilton, Ontario.
