DAVID MCGEE is a visiting scholar at the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science in Berlin where he is working on the origins of modern traditions of design and invention.

LARRY MCNALLY is an archivist at the Canadian Archives Branch of the National Archives of Canada. He is responsible for the textual portion of science, engineering, medical and technical collections.
