CALL FOR SUBMISSIONSDEMANDE DE COMMUNICATIONS A special issue oî Material History Review (No. 44, Fall 1996) will be devoted to the subject of "Housing." Intended to coincide with the opening of a major exhibit on Domestic Technology at the National Museum of Science and Technology, the issue will highlight current research in Housing employing interdisciplinary methods in Material History/Culture. Topics might include the interpretation of cities, neighbourhoods, or houses as artifacts of material culture; technology, food, decorative arts, textiles, and other "stuff of everyday life at home; and, questions of diffusion, production, intention, function, class, meaning, and difference as they are expressed through the material world of Canadian domestic life.
