JAMES P. HULL is a research fellow at the National Museum of Science and Technology. He is the editor of Scientia Canadensis, the journal of the Canadian Science and Technology Historical Association.

A.B. MCCULLOUGH is a historian with the Canadian Parks Service, Environment Canada. He has prepared studies on transportation costs in Western Canada, on Canadian monetary history, on commercial fishing on the Great Lakes and on the textile industry in Canada.

KEN MATHER has been involved in various aspects of heritage-site operation and management for the past 17 years. He is at present the manager/curator of the O'Keefe Historic Ranch near Vernon, B.C.

ROBERT W. PASSFIELD is a historian with National Historic Parks and Sites, Environment Canada, Ottawa. He specializes in canal and bridge building technology.

DIANE TYE is a folklorist with a doctorate from Memorial University of Newfoundland, St. John's. She has written and lectured on the folklore of Atlantic Canada and is currently teaching in the Centre for Canadian Studies, Mount Allison University, Sackville, N.B.

KAROL K. PARTRIDGE is a Cultural Programme Officer and Art Bank curator for the government of New Brunswick. A published author (22 works), she has been studying Material History at the University of New Brunswick, Fredericton.
