KATHERINE ARNUP is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of History at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education. She is currently completing a dissertation of advice literature for mothers.

ROBERT S. ELLIOT is Assistant Curator and Acting Head of the Department of Canadian History of the New Brunswick Museum.

RONALD W. HAWKER, a graduate student in art history at the University of Victoria, is currently studying the post-contact native Indian grave art of northern British Columbia.

ROBERT B. KLYMASZ is a folklorist and holds the position of Curator in charge of the East European Programme at the Canadian Centre for Folk Culture Studies, a division of the Canadian Museum of Civilization.

M.A. MACDONALD is a research associate in the Department of Canadian History of the New Brunswick Museum.

EILEEN REID MARCIL has recently completed a doctorate at the Université Laval entitled "Shipbuilding at Quebec, 1763-1893: The Square Rigger Trade."

JACQUES MATHIEU est professeur titulaire en histoire à l'Université Laval. Comme directeur du CÉLAT de 1982 à 1986, il a beaucoup œuvré au rapprochement des regards disciplinaires.

W. JOHN MCINTYRE, teaching master at Seneca College, Toronto, has published extensively on early crafts and industries in Canada and the United States.

GEORGES-PIERRE LÉONIDOFF est attaché de recherche au CÉLAT. Architecte et ethnologue de formation, conservateur à Parcs Canada de 1981 à 1984, il a agi comme responsable des dossiers documentaires sur l'étude de l'objet et coresponsable du projet sur le mobilier de l'époque victorienne.

NANCY-LOU PATTERSON is a Professor of Fine Art, Department of Fine Arts, University of Waterloo, and the author of books and articles on Canadian native and traditional arts.

JOHN R. PORTER est professeur titulaire en histoire de l'art et directeur du CÉLAT de l'Université Laval de Québec. Ancien conservateur au Musée des beaux-arts du Canada, il a publié plusieurs ouvrages et articles privilégiant une approche contextuelle de l'œuvre d'art.

CYNTHIA WALLACE-CASEY, Curator of the York-Sunbury Historical Society Museum, Fredericton, is currently pursuing graduate studies in material history at the University of New Brunswick (Fredericton).
