This paper explores some of the misinformation about procedural abortion that has circulated in New Brunswick by presenting primary data from interviews and focus groups that were conducted between 2022 and 2023. This work draws on and contributes to the interdisciplinary body of feminist social science and legal scholarship on abortion, specifically feminist scholarship that critically engages with the gendered operation of noise, voice, and/or silence. We consider why abortion misinformation persists in the province and what might be done.
