The Canadian forestry products industry's Research Consortium in E-business, FORAC, is situated at the Université Laval in Quebec City. It is a Consortium of the following public and private sector partners: Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (the senior partner), followed by Canada Economic Development, and Université Laval and 11 industrial partners, including companies as well as federal and provincial forest industry research institutions.
Dr. Sophie D'Amours is the Director of Research and Administration and leads a team of over 30 research professionals and students worldwide. There are twelve full time employees and over twenty post graduate student researchers (MSc, MBA, PhD, and Post-Doctoral).

Research by FOR@C is focussed on the management and control of value creation networks in the forest products industry. These networks are composed of all the value added business units required to produce and market a product. The following is a small sample of doctoral projects:

The mission of the Consortium is to become a Canadian and International centre of excellence in the development of the knowledge and skills required to integrate and optimize value creation networks in the forest products sector by taking advantage of the potential of new technologies and electronic business models.
