We are pleased to bring you the first issue of this Journal as we enter the 21st Century. To celebrate this new millenium, and to recognise the outstanding contribution that you, our authors and subscribers, have made to the growth and success of this publication, we are changing the name to:
"International Journal of Forest Engineering"
This issue will be mailed over two hundred-fifty individuals and libraries, in thirty-seven countries, and on all continents of the world. Few journals have dedicated to a unique scientific discipline have this wide level of international converage, hence we can be justifiably proud of our achievements. All members of the Editorial Staff, take this opportunity to thank you sincerely for your support during the past ten years. We look forward to many more years of service to the Forest Engineering community.
